Author Visits

As a playwright and an actor/director, I bring my theatrical background to my school visits. When I share my picture book with kids, I’ll get them up and moving. We’ll have fun reading the book together and singing Havdalah songs or howling like Shira, the singing puppy!

Below you will find some of the programs I offer. Each presentation offers time for Q&A. Each presentation will be 45min to 1hour.

1. Story time and activity (ages 2-5)

An interactive reading followed by singing Havdalah songs. Then, we have a choice of decorating a spice box or coloring pages drawn by the brilliant illustrator, Alexandra Colombo.

2. Theatre Time (ages 4-7):

I love bringing my theatre background to my presentations. I will have the kids take character roles and act out the story in the book. We will sing Havdalah songs and create a theatre skit.

3. Writing Workshops (ages 6-8):

Interactive workshops for all abilities. “Write and/or draw your own picture book.”  Or, “Write a spin off to one of the characters in my book.”

4. Zoom visits (30 minutes):

Slides and reading of my book over zoom, singing Havdalah songs and Q&A.
