Recently, I had the opportunity to read a sweet book by Sarah Aroeste
I love the simplicity of this book and the depth that it brings with its Sephardic culture.
It reminded how simple things like the image of a Hamsa hand can evoke the beauty of the culture a child is born into.
Specifically, here are tres reasons to love UNO, DOS, TRES:
Uno … I love the Hamsa symbol for good luck! This has made its way all across Jewish culture and has the same significance of bringing blessings of good luck to Ashkenazi and Sephardic homes alike.
Dos … I love the Sephardic images like the Turkish tea and rose water.
Tres … I love the back matter at the end of the book with a background explanation of each image.
